Terms of use, source by source
The robots.txt column reports what each source's file says, on the date we read
it. It is a fact about that source, not a permission we obtained: we do not treat that file as
our rule, and the methodology page says so plainly and says who
decided it.

Restrict automated copying, and since 31 August 2026 also name developing a competing service | Read, recorded, and disclosed, and the terms have since changed. We first read them on 26 August 2026 and kept a fingerprint. OpenRouter republished them on 31 August 2026, and we read and fingerprinted that version on 1 September 2026. The new text adds two things the old one did not say: it names developing a competing service alongside reselling API access, and it forbids bypassing technical measures designed to prevent scraping. Both versions restrict automated copying, while the same host's robots.txt still permits crawling, and we hold no account with them. What we publish from this source is factual pricing and availability information, always attributed and always linked back, read only through the documented public API. On 1 September 2026, while surveying who publishes host performance, our own source survey did call OpenRouter's undocumented internal endpoints, the ones that serve the latency figures shown on their model pages. That was a survey, not a collection: not one figure from those endpoints entered the registry or this site, which anyone can check, since every observation carries the exact address it was read from. We stopped, we are not building a collector on them, and we are writing it here rather than letting it be discovered. The capture is kept unpublished pending the site owner's decision on what to do with it. The site owner has taken the decision to track this source, on the earlier text, and that decision is being reviewed against the new one; we are publishing the change here on the day we found it rather than waiting for the review. We will stop tracking this source immediately on request from its publisher, without argument. |

We publish this table because a registry that hides its own uncomfortable findings is not a

An important distinction
Prices from a reseller are the reseller's prices. When OpenRouter sells access to a model built by another vendor, the figure we publish is what OpenRouter charges, not the vendor's list price, and the service name says so. Getting this wrong would mean publishing a false statement on day one, so we label it rather than imply it.
